Sun Chlorella Review
Organic Chlorella powder is one of the healthy compounds a person could ever eat. For those of you who haven’t heard of it before, Chlorella is a single celled algae that’s power packed with nutrients, though accessing those nutrients is sometimes a challenge. That’s why Chlorella algae need to undergo a special process that cracks their cell walls, allowing the body to access the nutrients locked within. Without that process, the human digestive tract would be unable to penetrate the cell wall and utilize the nutrients within.
For this reason, and because of the fact that contamination can happen with Chlorella in many of the different stages of production, it’s really important to find a quality brand of Chlorella and not just go with the cheapest you can find. For more information on that, I’ve written another article in this category about possible Chlorella side effects. I’ve personally tried many different forms of Chlorella, and the one that I’ve found to be the best is the brand Sun Chlorella, pictured at the top.
As you can see, even though Chlorella is a single compound, and not a green powder combination, I still gave it a high rating on completeness, 4 out of 5 stars. The reason why is because Chlorella is a nutrient dense superfood. Here are some of the nutrients you get from taking Chlorella:
- Rich natural source of chlorophyll (20 times richer than alfalfa grass)
- More than 20 different vitamins and minerals
- 18 out of the 21 essential amino acids
- All of the essential fatty acids
- And many more
The process for harvesting Chlorella and rendering its nutrients useful to humans by cracking the cell wall is getting better every year. Still, it’s not quite there yet. That’s why we rated Chlorella 4 out of 5 stars for bio-availability, because some of the nutrients locked up inside the Chlorella cell still aren’t going to be utilized and absorbed. Most of the nutrients will, making it still very bio-available, but not as much as other green powders.
